Anybody there?

About a million years ago I had a blog called New Beginnings. Or something like that. May have been called Shiny Things. Who knows. But it was good. And fun. To be honest, I wrote mostly about my children, who were wild, hysterical and ALL BOY! I had to delete that blog because I was afraid that future employment opportunities might be limited for them if the hiring department saw how messy their bedrooms were. And it was VERY IMPORTANT for me that they get jobs and get out of my house. 😉 So I archived that blog. Which is unfortunate, because before archiving it, I re-read a bit. And I cracked myself up. LOL. Anyway, I discontinued the blog in 2010 or 2011. And have probably either said, or been told monthly since then that I need to start my blog back up. Even Kevin kept telling me to do so. I tried a couple of times, but just wasn’t feeling it. I started one called Otterly Creative and the plan was for it to be mostly about crafting. And then everything happened with Kevin and my world went sideways and it fell apart. Those few posts are still here (see below) but I’ve changed the name and am restarting today.
I’m known in my crafting world — outside my crafting world too LOL— as an enabler. When I find something good/useful/fun, I want to share it with the world. If I have something good or fun, I want you to have one, too. I’ve enabled people to spend $1000’s (not any ONE individual spent $1000. I mean collectively. Though if you got in on that Copic Marker thing….well, let’s just not talk about that here. LOL) Anyway, people keep saying that I need to become an Amazon affiliate and make some money off all of that enabling I do. But to do that I have to have a social media presence. And unfortunately, apparently Facebook doesn’t count. Cause if it did, I think I would be IN! 😂 So, my goal is to make 25 cents a month. It’s not a lot, but I’ll try to spend it wisely. 😉
What am I gonna talk about? Well, it definitely won’t be politics. 😂 It will be about crafting, books, friends, my cat, whatever random funny thing that pops into my brain. There will definitely be some talk about Kevin and surviving widowhood. But I promise I won’t make that the focus. I might even talk about my kids (in fact, I’m pretty sure that is what my first post will be about.), though I may have to disguise their names as Thing 1 and Thing 2. 😂
And there will definitely be some links to cool things that you need in your life. You don’t even have to buy them. But you will. I know some of yall. 😂
I plan to start off by posting once a week, on Fridays. If I feel inspired it might be more. But at least once a week. The posts will likely be like my Facebook posts, but with a lot more enabling. Which means that I may post a little less on FB and more on the blog. Maybe. That’s going to be hard though because I really DO like all the likes and comments y’all leave on my FB page. Just being honest here. 🤷🏻♀️ So what I’d really really like is for you to encourage me by continuing to like and comment on my posts on the blog, just like you’ve been doing on Facebook all these years. 💖💖💖

Your comments will be listed as anonymous unless you do something (not sure exactly what, but I’ll investigate and let you know. If you know, please share with me/us. I’m excited for this journey. In my heart I’ve always wanted to be an author. But I just don’t think I have a book in me (I mean, I’m no Freida McFadden, even if we ARE both Freda Macs. LOL. And if you don’t know who she is, check her out. She is ALL OVER the best seller lists and I adore her — and not just because of her name. LOL) I’m also no Sean Dietrich or Lewis Grizzard, though I adore both of them. But I think I can entertain you with a blog post. This world is dark. I want to brighten it up. And what can brighten it up more than a few laughs and some Amazon boxes at our front door, right?
